I’m a second year PhD student in the School of Computational Sciences and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology (CSE), home department: Bioinformatics ,advised by Dr. Srinivas Aluru.
My main research interests lie in parallel algorithms designed for biological applications, with a focus on large scale multimodal integration and analysis of genomic data. Currently, I am exploring the parallelization of variations of Wasserstein and Gromov-Wasserstein solutions of Optimal Transport to efficiently align and analyze data from different "omic" datasets (i.e genomic, proteomic, transcriptomic, etc).
During the summer of 2022, I interned at University of Maryland School of Medicine, supervised by Dr. Valeria Mas, where I focused on analysis of transcriptional networks and their correlation with kidney and lung transplant failure.
Aside from my professional and academic interests, I love to pursue music as a hobby: I have played the piano since I was 4 years old, and was a cellist in my school orchestra! I also love to sing: I have pursued Indian classical singing (Carnatic Music) since I was 5 years old. As a California-Bay Area native, I enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring the numerous hiking trails!
